Saw Palmetto by AskPharma is a Food Supplement in capsule formulation containing 320mg of dry extract from the berries of the small palm tree (Serenoa repens), standardized 45% as fatty acids. Berries have traditionally been used for nutritional support of the prostate by men with urinary and reproductive symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (normal enlargement of the prostate gland*). Prostatic hyperplasia causes urological problems in almost half of the men over 50 and requires medical consultation to rule out other diseases. Saw Palmetto by Askpharma is produced in Greece according to standard procedures, is notified to the National Medicines Organization under the notification number 51447/16-5-2022 and consists of validated and controlled raw materials free of gluten, lactose, preservatives, artificial colorings or genetically modified organisms. Moreover, it is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
The lipidosterolic extract from the fruits of the Serenoa Repens plant contains a variety of ingredients with nutritional value that possess antioxidant and prostate regulatory properties. Specifically, it contains fatty acids, such as caprylic, caproic, lauric, palmitic and oleic acids, as well as a high concentration of plant sterols and flavonoids.
